Do you believe that you were born for a purpose and on purpose? Do you believe that you're beautifully and wonderfully made? Well, I know you are.

In the Holy Bible, it says that God knew you, source energy, before you were formed in your mother's womb. And I know that you have a purpose that only you can fulfill. And if you know what that purpose is, that's awesome. If you're living your life on purpose, then you've discovered that magic. But a lot of us, including myself, have had a struggle finding out what their soul’s purpose really is.
And that's okay because I don't believe that you're reading this blog by accident.
I believe that you're meant to read this. And I know that it took me a while to uncover my soul's purpose. But through that uncovering, discovering, and detective work - I'm here to tell you that I can help you discover yours.
You may have a wonderful career, you may have a beautiful family, you may not. But it's that part of you, that feels unfulfilled, that has a longing, that feels a little left of center and off course, even though parts of your life and many aspects of your life may feel on. It's that part of you, that just doesn't feel like you have that answer yet. And it's probably because you haven't put it together.
But I'm here to help you. And there are many, many ways to uncover and discover your soul's purpose. So let's continue.
This is part one. We're going to uncover and discover your soul's purpose, or at least I'm going to attempt to help you and be a tool on that journey.
Uncovering & Discovering Your Soul’s Purpose
One of the ways that you can uncover your soul's purpose in this busy life that we all lead, is to connect with God, connect with source energy. You're an individualized expression of God. And again, I'm going to say it, only you can fulfill and express and create uniquely with your special gifts and talents. You're like a snowflake, you're a unique, one-of-a-kind expression of God.
Edging God Out
So if you can keep that in mind, and we have to know that the ego gets in the way. And again, as Dr. Wayne Dyer says, that the acronym for EGO is Edging God Out.
So when you get past that place where you are edging God out, and surrender to God and ask God:
What is my purpose?
How can I help?
How can I serve?
How can I give to the world and have the world give back?
Then you start to align yourself with synchronicities, and beautiful things that go beyond the realm of reason. You start to connect with signs and signals that only your Creator can give you. And you do that, number one, by asking God, what is my purpose?
We get very wrapped up in what our family would like us to do, what society would like us to do, what our friends would like us to do, what we think we should do. But this is that place inside of you where you haven't tapped into yet. And that's because that place is kind of knocking at the door of your heart, it's vying for your attention.
Let’s Get a Journal
So here are some ways, first of all, let's get a journal. Purchase a journal that you can dedicate to this alone. And I want you to go from head to heart, through your hand, and on paper. It's okay, if you use a computer device, that's fine.
But if you can go from your head and heart onto paper, I think you're gonna discover that you'll get more in touch with yourself. And number one again, ask source energy, ask God your Creator, what it is, you came here to do that you and you alone can do? And watch for the signs and the signals that he will provide for you through his universe.
What Is Your Natural Knack?
Number two, I want you to look throughout your life, however long it has been, how many years you've been on this earth, what you have a natural knack for? What comes naturally for you? That doesn't mean it's a gift or a skill that you can't hone, but what are you naturally inclined to? And what do you do and what pulls you and what draws you? What we're looking for here is a common thread. We're looking for clues and a common thread throughout all that you do. And let me explain it from my vantage point.
From a very early age, I was very talkative. I think my mother told me my first word was a paragraph. So that should give you a clue as to my talkativeness.
When they couldn't find me when I was out playing, they could always hear me so they knew I was okay. So I was talkative. I wrote, I sang, I wrote poetry, I wrote songs, I wanted to stand up in front of people and talk and discuss and teach, and help. And I wanted to interview people and find out about people. It took me all the way to this point in my life to really piece together that my gift, my unique, fulfilled, unfulfilled to fulfilling soul's purpose is communication. And I'm a musician, I sing, I song write, I write poetry and I want to express spirituality and help you with abundant living.
But all of this, through all of those gifts, the common thread is communication. So that's what I'm trying to get at with you. I want you to look at the gifts and the things that you contribute to life and the things that stimulate you and look for that common thread.
Nothing Is Too Unimportant For You To Write Down
It can be something like, well, when I was on a cheerleading team in high school, I was really good at rallying everybody together, write that down, you're going to find clues in that.
Motivation & Inspiration
The next thing I want you to do is to look at
What motivates you?
What inspires you?
What makes you want to get up in the morning?
Not your obligatory issues and your obligatory items. But what really motivates you to get up in the morning? What drives you? What paintings have inspired you? What television shows have brought you to tears? What motivates you? Because herein lie some more clues as to what your soul's purpose is.
What Elements Attract You?
Another way of helping uncover and discovering your soul's purpose is looking at what elements really attract you.
Are you an earth person?
Do you like to garden?
Do you like the fire, meaning the sun?
Do you like to be near the beach?
Are you a mountain person?
Do you like the air?
Because you may be called to be an airplane pilot and you may be a part of the sky, a part of that element. So nothing is too unimportant. So if you like water, and sun, or the earth, put your preferences down, put your favorite colors down, I promise you, you are going to see common threads through all of this, they're going to tie together.
Plus you're going to get in touch with who you are.
Again, we're in a society that shapes us to conform. What I want you to do, is think about your authenticity, to think about who you really are, your individuality. And you will conform and there are societal norms that we all conform to. But I want you through source energy to discover who you are, what you really love, what your strengths are, what your weaknesses are. But discovering self is very, very important in unlocking what your soul's purpose is. And you realize that that is the uniqueness of you. Again, we're looking for that common thread.
The Bee in Your Bonnet
The other thing that I have found that can help you or certain people to discover their soul's purpose is, an old-fashioned term called the bee in your bonnet. What bothers you? And it may be racial injustice, you may see animal cruelty, or people or hunger, and it might just get to you. And you may find that you have a calling towards the humanities. But put that bee in your bonnet down.
If there's something that really bothers you, and it's a righteous type of anger - I want you to write that down because that can be a very, very big clue to who you are, what you are, and what your purpose is.
That's going to tie together. And really start to journal.
As you go about your day and you think about these areas that I've discussed with you, take that journal with you, because something might come to mind. You might say, wow, you know, I've always been really coordinated and really athletic. Write that down. That's very important.
You might say, I've always been very organized, you know, no matter what I've done, I've always been great with numbers, I've always been a great organizer, and I feel really happy when I do that. Write those things down. You are cluing into who you are.
And again, continue to pray and meditate. Ask God, source energy. What is that purpose, that unique purpose that only I can fulfill? What is that, God? I want to know. And when you seek in your seeking, you'll find the answer, I promise. So look for signs and clues. It might be a fortune from a fortune cookie. I've literally seen things written in the sky. So you're going to have that be uncovered, you're going to get help along this journey.
I am offering my prayers out to all of those who have read this blog. For you to help uncover and discover your soul's purpose, and to live on purpose.
Stay tuned for my next blog. We're going to touch on some blocks that may be hindering you from discovering your soul's purpose. But for now - journal, meditate, pray and relish the time, embrace the time, that you discover you and your authenticity. That's a beautiful part of the journey. And until the next time. May God bless you.
